The news of an unplanned pregnancy stressed out 24-year old “Rachel.” When she came to our clinic, she was at serious risk for an abortion. She was too early in the pregnancy for an ultrasound to show the life blossoming inside her womb, so we were grateful that she agreed to schedule a second appointment.

 

The father of the baby accompanied her to the second visit where Rachel let us know that her mother was pushing her to have an abortion. After seeing new life on the ultrasound, she left that visit still confused about what she would do. To our delight, she scheduled a third appointment.

 

By the third visit, Rachel felt empowered to make a choice for life! She stated that she “took the time to make a decision for herself,” expressed gratitude for our clinic and, in particular, gratitude for the time in prayer with her advocate.
